About Us

Bandas for Women and Youth is a community-based organization operating in Kakamega, Vihiga, and Nandi counties of Western Kenya, dedicated to transforming the lives of marginalized women and youth. Anchored on the principles of equity and equality, we address some of the most pressing challenges facing local communities, including poverty, unemployment, and limited access to quality education.

By empowering women and youth with skills, resources, and opportunities, Bandas contributes directly to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on poverty eradication (SDG 1), quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), and reduced inequalities (SDG 10).
